COACHING CHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT

2 Feb 2019 by CLUB ADMIN

The club would like to announce that Brad Neil has decided not to continue coaching the development squad in season 2019.

Increasing work commitments for both Brad and Amanda, along with growing sporting needs of their girls Sienna and Hayden have influenced his decision.

Brad first arrived at the kennel under Damien Franken’s watch when he assisted with ruck coaching. In 2016 Brad took over the reserves coach role, and his passion on game day was evident week in week out. Quietly offering guidance and advice in the background was Brad’s dad Graeme who has strongly supported Brad throughout both playing and coaching careers.

Everyone in the club was thrilled when Brad was able to pull the boots in for a few games with the boys in 2017/18 and reach his 300 senior game milestone and EFL life membership.

Under Brad’s guidance the team improved each year, culminating in reaching the grand final in 2018 – but as we know the performance and result in that day was one no one wanted or expected.

We would like to extend massive thanks to Brad for his dedication to the role and also thank Amanda, Sienna, Hayden and Graeme for their support during this time.

We know that we will see Brad and the family at the kennel this season, as we know that Brad loves the club – ‘a real club’ as he puts it!

Thanks big Barry O!

The club is actively underway in seeking a new reserves coach and hopes to make an announcement shortly.
