Today, at the South Croydon Cricket Club Pink Stumps Day lunch, an exciting announcement was made that on top of the already committed funds provided by State Government, thanks Shaun Leane MP, and Maroondah City Council thanks Cr Rob Steane Cr Kylie Spears, Cr Tony Dib and Cr Paul McDonald, to enhance the ground lighting and change room facilities, the Federal government through Michael Sukkar – Member for Deakin has also committed a further $500,000 AND Maroondah City Council has been able to contribute a even further $1,000,000 – this makes total committed funds of $2,500,000 which will enable a second floor extension!

Thanks so much to Michael Sukkar and Maroondah City Council for enabling this extension on our facility.

This extension will not only provide extra space for our ever growing sporting clubs but it will also allow the growth of our current co- tenants U3A Croydon and potentially other community groups.

Full details are yet to be fully confirmed, but we anticipate the works to be completed by the start of the 2020 football season.

It is going to be a fantastic facility and we are very grateful.
