Coaching announcement

11 Jul 2023 by Steve Duke

Yesterday, Marcus Buzaglo advised he is stepping down from the role of Senior Coach at the South Croydon Football Club telling the players “After a lot of thinking following the weekend’s game, I have informed the club of my decision to step down as Senior Coach effective immediately. I have always spoken of the importance of putting the club first and I feel this decision does that. Our performance on the weekend indicated a new voice is the best way forward for the remaining 6 weeks of the year.”

Marcus stepped into the Senior coaching role in 2021 after a long stint at East Ringwood and took the club into a preliminary final last season, despite the difficult circumstances without proper clubrooms. Though this season has not worked out as planned, Marcus has always been fully committed to the whole club program at South Croydon and we thank him for his efforts over the journey.

We wish Marcus, his wife Monique, and the family, all the best for the future, and thank you all for your time at South Croydon.

We are currently working through the coaching options for the remainder of the year and expect to make a further announcement later today or tomorrow. In the meantime, the Assistant Coaches and senior players are working hard on planning for this week’s game.
